Pizza Lunch!

Last Sunday many people gathered after church for a pizza lunch.

The kids had time to play...

...and make friends.

There was pizza as well as plenty of desserts.

It is always a trick to eat and socialize at the same time.

Class gatherings create quite a mess.

There are always plenty of people in the kitchen.

With so many people we end up in practically every part of the house.

So many new babies to love!

By the end everyone was happy and full.

Is it weird that I know whose house this was held at based on the fact they have a tiger?

April looks very serious about whatever she is talking about.

More playtime!

Sunday lunches are always such a great time to catch up! Special thanks to our hosts as well as Amy for taking pictures!

Softball!!!

Tuesday night lots of softball fans showed up to see the Starting Point softball teams face off. We of course had to bring snacks!

Mike Singleton was even there! I always think of him as the unofficial coach for both teams.

There were so many people and so much to talk about.

Even though we spent most of the time chatting...

...we did watch some of the game.

It is a little difficult to take pictures of a softball game.

Both teams played well...

...but unfortunately there had to be a winner.

I think the final score was actually 5 to 12. Congratulations to the winning team and condolences to the wives who had to go home with unhappy husbands!

Pizza Party!

On Sunday we met at Nick and Alia's after church for pizza.

It was a house full of friends.

There was plenty to talk about.

We enjoyed some great fellowship.

We had a great turn out.

Thank You to those who organized the lunch as well as Nick and Alia who hosted the event.

Aeros Hockey Game!

A small group attended an Aeros hockey game on Saturday.

I did find it slightly ironic that we were at a hockey game on the first day of spring but it was cold outside anyway.

They only got in a fight once...

...but they hugged and made up.

Who knew that Smith...

...and Rogers play hockey.

We had a great time watching them be tough.

At one point they had people race tricycles on the ice. They also had a "Chuck A Puck" contest as well as a marriage proposal.

I always love seeing the zambonis.

Though most of us were new to watching hockey in Houston, the Aeros have some very dedicated fans.

We were not sure if the mascot was a dog, wolf, or coyote.

Both teams played very well and they were well matched.

The other team scored early on...

...but our team was able to get on the board.

Unfortunately, our team lost but we still had a great time. We even got to hear Alia's choir sing and they sounded great!

Play Group Visit!

On Friday I was able to visit play group since I didn't have to work.

For the record...Katie likes to hold babies.

It was a small but lively group that day.

My intention was simply to observe...but that wasn't the case.

Our favorite librarian was invited to lead story time. She is a very good reader.

The older girls did a great job listening as Katie read to them about a dog who didn't bark.

Even the adults enjoyed story time.

Then it was snack time.

We enjoyed a variety of snacks.

Everyone was having a good time but nap time can right on schedule.

These kids have so much personality! Feel free to send in pictures for the blog anytime.
