SOME ENCHANTED EVENING

It was an evening filled with surprises.
And love. And respect.

The girls had outdone themselves. To close out our Love and Respect
Bible Study, we had designed a plan. First, we planned a special dinner for Saturday night. Then, we each prepared our husband's favorite dish and carefully considered what we most respected about our mates. We enclosed our comments and the name of our dish in small picture frames, added them to our illustrious (and very meaty) buffet, and then called the guys (who had mysteriously gathered upstairs) to dinner.
That's when the real surprises began.
The guys came down for dinner one-by-one. Each held two long-stemmed roses. With precise orchestration, they took the arms of their wives and escorted them to a table that had been set especially for them.

Then each man handed his woman a love note. We were teary-eyed as we read our notes...some in cards, some on notebook paper, others on cutout hearts. Each one from the heart.

Oh, but it didn't end there. No, not for our guys. The men proceeded to serve the girls! Not just by taking our plates and returning with food that WE had baked for THEM, but by filling tea glasses, pouring coffee, and serving dessert (Red Velvet Cake expertly sliced with dental floss!). On top of all that, they insisted we remain seated as they tag-teamed, stationing themselves near our table to answer our every beck and call. It was magical.
And then they went over the top...

THEY WASHED THE DISHES! By! Hand! Including the serving dishes!

Oh, it was a night to remember.

Women who honor their husbands. Men who love their wives.

Ingredients for an enchanted evening.
